Specification
This low-profile electronic pest repeller uses quiet ultrasonic sounds to evict Mice, Spiders, cockroaches and Crawling Insects. Works well in your Kitchen, Garage, Basement, Workshop, Shed or Attic. The Transonic Pro is a cost-effective, easy solution to your pest problem.
Independent laboratory and university testing has proven ultrasonic and sonic sound technologies to be effective forms of pest deterrents. Pests are repelled away from your Transonic Pro unit because they cannot adapt to the constantly changing array of ultrasonic and sonic signals emitted by the device.
The unit disrupts the pests' habitat, effecting their feeding and communication habits, forcing them to leave the area. The unit is safe for use around humans, children, and pets such as dogs, cats, birds, and reptiles.
Usage
The Transonic Pro is effective against Mice, Rats, Small Rodents , Spiders, Insects / Bugs, Fleas, Flies, Ticks, Cockroaches, Squirrels & Chipmunks, Raccoons, Opossum and other pest species.
Note that the use of ultrasonic deterrents against bats is prohibited in the UK by the Wildlife and Conservation act 1981.
The Transonic Pro is designed for indoor use in common problem areas including:
- Semi-Enclosed Areas
- Home & Patio & Kitchen
- Restaurants
- Stores
- Warehouses
- Farms, Barns, Stables
- Sheds & Storage
- Car & Parking Garages
Important points to consider when specifying and installing your Ultrasonic bird deterrent:
Ultrasound works on a line-of-sight basis. i.e. it does not travel through solid objects (including glass) and will not travel around corners, therefore complex areas may require multiple speakers to effectively protect them.
Each speaker unit has an effective range of between 8 and 10 meters distance and an oval dispersal pattern with a maximum width of about 7.5 meters. The siz of the area covered by one speakers varies dependent upon the frequeny setting selected. In general you should expect the min-max of a single speaker to be 570 sq. ft. – 900 sq. ft in front of the speaker.
Hence Ultrasonic units cover a smaller area per system than our sonic repellers and are best employed in concentrated areas where persistent birds are a problem.
If you are looking for a system to scare birds away immediately over a large area then you require one of our sonic repellers.
Ultrasound acts as a deterrent and is NOT a bird scarer, the pest birds must first land in front of the speaker for it to have an effect on them, it will not affect birds that are simply flying past. The bird must linger in front of the speaker to be affected by it. In a short space of time the discomfort of the sound pressure waves will quickly dislodge the birds beyond the speaker’s effective range.
If birds are able to land directly above, below or besides the speaker they will not be affected by it’s output, they must be in front of the speaker in line of sight, think of the speaker as an eye, if it can not see the bird then it cannot deter the bird. Therefore positioning of the speaker(s) is mission crtical.
In general, place speaker(s) / units at the level of the birds, and as close as possible the infested area. On multiple speaker units such as UltrasonX and Broadband Pro, position the speakers either in a central area facing out, or in four outer corners facing inwards. Birds should be constantly exposed to the greatest sound diversity without too much physical obstruction of the sound waves. If you’re not sure exactly where you will want to place the speakers, we suggest temporary installations with cable ties until you determine where you want them permanently.
